Running your extractor
Step 1. Run your URLs
Click the run URLs box, which appears at the middle of the screen.
Step 2. Check your Run status
Now, once you have clicked the Run URLs button you will be taken to the [run history page] (/the-run-history.md) and your extractor will start running. There are two important sections of the runner - the left and the right hand side.
The left, shows all the ongoing data about the run, the number of URLs, the number of successes, the duration, and the total rows.
You can find more information about run statuses on the [Run History] (/the-run-history.md) page.
On the right hand side you find the results from the run under three symbols:
If you click the first symbol you can select the download format, there are two formats, CSV and JSON, for more information on downloading and using data click here. The second symbol is the log file, which shows information about the run. The third symbol of an eye is the preview symbol, this can be used to view a sample of your data. Further information on the run history can be found here.
Now, this extractor can be used to extract information from any webpage of the same format. For example, in my example of a BBC news article, I can use that extractor to run the URLs of other BBC news articles and collect data on all of the webpages at the same time by simply adding more URLs.
